So here’s that *omitted* Portal 2 diaolgue I’ve been freaking out over!
So Tumblr user Chocolate-Covered-Portals was nice enough to send me some of the Portal 2 game files that contain *omitted* dialogue, and I’ve been having a look in them. A lot of it is code gibberish, of course, but there’s sections that contain strings of dialogue, and so I’ve copy and pasted them all together for my own reference. Might as well post it!
One thing though, the files were sort of like… multiple “drafts”, so there are parts under the cut where I’ve mashed multiple “drafts” together, otherwise it would be unreadable.
I’m not going to lie, though. This is pretty cool, I’ve been flipping out over it for days… Definitely sheds a new light on some things.
(I’ve started with the beginning of The Itch because it was the most legible and also the most hilarious imo. Omitted dialogue from Wheatley and GLaDOS under the cut!!!! Anything with double parenthesis is my own comment. The rest are Valve’s dialogue!)
